After numerous requests, we’ve organized a Film Reception & Networking Event geared towards educators, agencies, other caring professionals to see firsthand how film and media can be used to uncover the talents and skills of any young person.

We’ve assembled an awesome lineup of speakers to share their personal experiences on leveraging media/arts to affect change in their schools, communities, and abroad.

Take a tour of the historic mansion and join us to:

  • learn about innovative media for classrooms and organizations
  • view original films written and produced by our students
  • unveil an exciting new feature length film production
  • hear the announcement of our brand new location!

Beyond Expectations is excited to announce that Frank E. Underwood Sr. will be the featured Keynote Speaker at our June 10 Charity Event.

Mr. Underwood is Chairman of the Central Virginia Film Institute in Petersburg, Virginia, one of only 49 official organizations sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Pictures to host Oscar Night® America.

We are extremely pleased that he has made time in busy schedule to join us and offer his wisdom on providing young people with access and resources to succeed.

Keep and eye out for these two young, powerhouse sisters!

Cathryn and Christina Stanley are former students of Beyond Expectations who participated in workshops and our early college campus tours. They have since gone on to form their own production company, Big Sis L’il Sis Enterainment, and are currently in production on their first feature film, “A Time After Yesterday”, starring Christina, written and directed by Cathryn.

 Christina Stanley, actress, producer

Christina attended University of Delaware, packed up and headed cross country for life in LA. Cathryn attended Hampton University and recently graduated from Columbia University’s Teachers College earning dual Master’s degrees in Education.

Their recent Kickstarter campaign was successfully funded and the Red Carpet Pre-Premiere Reception they organized to showcase the film’s trailer was a huge hit! We’re extremely excited and proud of their accomplishments and will keep everyone posted on progress.
